Searching for clues in ancient Tibet
And so Punja and Tashi, together with Sonam, set off in the direction where the yak herd was grazing. The father waved to his sons. Silently they continued to follow a narrow path that led past the beautifully situated lotus lake, where they had been yesterday. They continued in the middle of the grassy steppe in an easterly direction, as Sönam assured them.
So they came to a turning, to a slightly wider, well-trodden path. How many generations of people might have walked this way?
"Surely our parents were also here... and we with them?" Punja and Tashi thought. It was a strange feeling for the siblings, looking at the stones, the grass. It was as if they were trying to find traces of their past in it.
